WebLogic Server Administration Console

Prerequisites

Admin Console - Manage Nodes

  • Log Into WebLogic Server Administration Console
  • Create New Servers Record
  • On the "Domain Structure" window Click "Environment -> Servers".
    This will open Servers window in right pane.
    Click on "New" button to add a new server record.



    Enter the Managed Node Server Name or IP Address in the "Server Listen Address" field.
    Select option "Yes" for creating new cluster.
    Click on "Next" button.


    Click on "Finish" button.



    New "Managed Node" Server record has been added.



  • Create New Machine Record
  • On the "Domain Structure" window Click "Environment -> Machines".
    This will open Machines window in right pane.
    Click on "New" button to add a new machine record.



    Enter Machine Name and Select OS type. Then click on "Next" button.



    For Type select "Plain". For Listen Address enter the Managed Node IP Address. Then click on "Finish" button.



  • Associate Server record with Machine Record
  • On the "Domain Structure" window Click "Environment -> Servers".
    This will open Servers window in right pane.
    Click on "Control" Tab and then Click on "New" button to add a new server record.



    Click on the "Managed Server-1" that we previously added. This will open configuration option for this Managed Server record.



    For the Machine field select "Machine-1". This is the same machine record that we created in previous step. Click on "Save" button to save the record.



  • Start WebLogic Services from Admin Console
  • Click on the managed Server record. Then click on "Start" button.



    Wait for the WebLogic service to start on the Managed Node.
